LONGMONT — Golden Triangle Construction Inc, which does business based in Longmont as GTC, has named its 2019 subcontractors of the year.
Braconier Mechanical & Plumbing Services of Englewood, Delta Dry Wall from Denver, and Montgomery Electric based in Dacono were named as the companies who went above and beyond to deliver exceptional service to GTC, as determined by GTC employees.
GTC is one of the top 20 general contractors in Colorado, by annual volume, and maintains an active database of more than 9,700 subcontractors. Each year the general contractor requests submissions from its principals, estimators, project managers, and superintendents of their top subcontractor picks. The award is determined by a count of the most-named companies. In 2019 the firm used the services of 432 subcontractors, via 901 subcontracts, across all projects. GTC employees named 82 of those companies as having delivered outstanding performance. All 82 companies received a letter of recognition from GTC.
GTC has been sending letters of recognition to outstanding subcontractor firms since 2012. The firm has been told by multiple subcontractors that it is the only general contractor in Colorado that recognizes subcontractors in this way.
September 2019 - Completed Project
Firestone Police Department: Mitch Trotter and his crew started this project, ground up in October of 2018 and as of the beginning of August it is officially finished. They did an amazing job with lighting, fire alarms, and the electrical work that they took on and finished with grace. The police department will now include many new and necessary things such as a courtroom, record area, hazardous and biological materials storage area. The police force stated that they constructed the building with growth in mind and that as Firestone grows so will the police department. The grand opening of the building is set to take place on September 9th.
Montgomery Electric, Inc. (MEI) is partnering with Golden Triangle Construction (GTC) to bring the vision of this office space and park to life. Located in Frederick near I-25 and Highway 119, Park 4040 will be the new headquarters of Ursa Major Technology. This anchor tenant specializes in the design and assembly of state-of-the-art liquid propellant rocket engines. With their plans to occupy the majority of the office building, there is potential for a future testing facility as well. MEI is in charge of the Core & Shell for this project. There will be a total of 5 tenant areas and each area will have its own service. This building is a tilt-up and with crews hard at work, we have temporary power in the building and lights already hung and lit.
